The present work, exposes what was the experience of the implementation of an initiative applied for the first time in Costa Rica, the method of literacy I can, with a population of migrant women, domestic workers who are members of or close to the organization ASTRADOMES (Association of Domestic Workers) located in San José. The project was developed with the inputs that were obtained from the original method. The remaining materials and sources were collected from research and own preparation by the facilitators. During the process, a log was kept with the information on the process of putting the methodology into practice, which, despite not having the entire original method, maintained its didactic and pedagogical guidelines, distinctive characteristics of the method and whose results in other latitudes have earned it great prestige and international recognition, even in instances such as UNESCO. In addition to the above, the work briefly describes the official management of the "Yes I can" before the authorities of the Republic of Cuba, who have the patent for the method. It also specifies what was the process of approaching ASTRADOMES, the call to the project, the construction and management of materials, the initial diagnosis of the participants that accounts for the degree of literacy with which they enter, as well as the philosophy and methodology of the Self if I can. Finally, the document exposes the conclusions of the facilitators, as well as shares the attached records, which are part of the evidence and the results of the project, which for four months took place in the ASTRADOMES offices where it was very well received by both the organization, as by the participants.
