Plan estratégico para incorporar el Programa "Adopte una Quebrada" en la comunidad de Cubujuquí, Heredia

Abstract

El presente estudio se realizó en Cubujuquí, comunidad situada al norte del cantón central de Heredia; es atravesada por el Río Burío. Para esta investigación se utilizó una encuesta con preguntas que permitieran determinar la posibilidad de adoptar el Río Burío en la comunidad. Constó de preguntas abiertas y cerradas. El cuestionario se entregó a 96 familias y se recuperaron 92. Al identificar los principales problemas que enfrenta la comunidad, un 67,8% de los vecinos opinaron que el Río Burío es la más grave de todas y en segundo lugar, la basura, con 23,7%. Todos los vecinos que participaron en el estudio coinciden en que mantener limpia la comunidad es de suma importancia, porque ello ayudaría a evitar plagas, enfermedades, desorden, mal aspecto y otros. Su preocupación por la salud es vital para poder implementar el programa y son puntos relevantes para llegara a crear sensibilización y actitudes positivas en ellos. Un gran porcentaje de los vecinos (98,4%), opina que de haber incluido en sus estudios aspectos ambientales, hubiera contribuido a una mayor concienciación y a mejorar el ambiente y la salud.

The present study was carried out in Cubujuquí, a community located north of the central canton of Heredia; it is crossed by the Burío River. For this research, a survey with questions was used to determine the possibility of adopting the Burío River in the community. It consisted of open and closed questions. The questionnaire was given to 96 families and 92 were recovered. When identifying the main problems faced by the community, 67.8% of the residents believed that the Burío River is the most serious of all and in second place, garbage, with 23.7%. All the neighbors who participated in the study agree that keeping the community clean is of the utmost importance, because it would help prevent pests, diseases, disorder, bad appearance and others. Their concern for health is vital to be able to implement the program and are relevant points to create awareness and positive attitudes in them. A large percentage of residents (98.4%) believe that having included environmental aspects in their studies, it would have contributed to greater awareness and to improve the environment and health.
