This research is entitled "Didactic strategy: Voices of the self, for the strengthening of linguistic skills: oral expression and listening comprehension, aimed at boys and girls from section 6-2, from the Jesús de Nazareth School, Liberia, Guanacaste, period school year: 2021-2022”. The objective of the thesis was to strengthen the students' expression skills and at the same time, increase the correct processing of information. The methodology began with the creation of a diagnosis and an interview with the teacher that would allow knowing the student reality with whom it would work. Next, the proposal was created listening to the experiences, interests, needs and life projects of the students. With the information collected, short stories between reality and fantasy were created. The creation of the book of stories called "Voces del Yo", allowed the involvement between participants and the developers of the workshops, generating a positive impact by strengthening the communication skills of each one. Among the main findings found, was that there are deficiencies in two study skills when they are not developed, as proposed by the Ministry of Public Education (MEP). Listen to students and be attentive to their life stories and aspirations, It was fundamental to create the didactic resource that was offered. The challenge is for the pedagogical mediator to provide the respective follow-up so that the created initiative is implemented. The applied workshops were of great significance for the students, since they know what part of their realities are present in each of the stories.
