Desarrollo y evolución del movimiento teatral costarricense en la década de 1970

Abstract

Presenta un análisis acerca de cómo se produjo el desarrollo y la evolución del movimiento teatral costarricense durante la década de 1970. Aunado a ello, identifica cuál ha sido el aporte y la influencia que han tenido los artistas latinoamericanos, específicamente los de países como Chile, Argentina y Uruguay con respecto a la consolidación del teatro en Costa Rica. Dentro de la metodología utilizada para llevar a cabo dicha investigación, se realizó un estudio descriptivo, mientras que las técnicas a usar para la recolección de la información tuvieron un abordaje de carácter cualitativo, en las que destacan la recopilación documental y bibliográfica y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Ahora bien, con el desarrollo de este trabajo, se concluye la importancia que ha tenido el arte como ente transformador, promotor y creador de una cultura no excluyente y el papel trascendental del Estado benefactor, que apoyaba la cultura del teatro.

It presents an analysis of the development and evolution of the Costa Rican theater movement during the 1970s. In addition, it identifies the contribution and influence of Latin American artists, specifically those from countries such as Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay, with respect to the consolidation of theater in Costa Rica. Within the methodology used to carry out this research, a descriptive study was carried out, while the techniques used for the collection of information had a qualitative approach, in which the documentary and bibliographic compilation and semi-structured interviews stand out. Now, with the development of this work, it is concluded the importance that art has had as a transforming entity, promoter and creator of a non-excluding culture and the transcendental role of the welfare State, which supported the theater culture.
