This targeted practice highlights the importance of physical and mental activities in improving the health of homeless people, who face a chaotic environment that significantly impacts their well-being and deteriorates it even further during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, with the aim of offering professional assistance and improving their quality of life, various activities were implemented at the REDISH Community Center, including activities that combine physical and mental skills, seeking to restore mental health and prevent future crises. To this end, sessions were planned at the REDISH Community Center based on previous research and observations, prioritizing activities that benefit people living on the streets. These activities seek to improve cognition, socialization, and performance, as well as keep people busy to prevent substance use. However, this approach also challenges stereotypes and barriers that hinder understanding of the realities of these individuals, who need care and support because they often lack recognition and assistance to improve their quality of life.
