In order to know the effect of extra-lysine addition in the feed supplied to the Cobb MV, Cobb MX and Ross 308 genetic poultry, two different concentrations of lysine (control and 5% extra-lysine) were sought; to analyze the behavior of the zootechnical indicators and the carcass in a 35 days productive cycle. It was located in the Siquiares Experimental Farm that has a tunnel-type controlled environment shed and consisted of the evaluation of 78 experimental units with 50 poultry each; for the distribution, a completely random statistical block design model was used, where each block consist of 6 treatments corresponding to a genetic type with a lysine dose. At the end of the fifth week of the zootechnical indicators evaluation the interaction between the diet and genetic line factor was significant in live weight, daily weight gain, accumulated feed consumption and the feed conversion, showing a non-positive effect on the growth of poultry to which was added the extra lysine in their diet. In addition, a more efficient utilization of the feed resource was observed in Ross 308 genetic poultry. Likewise, there were no differences in the carcass yield indicator such as carcass yield percentage, boneless breast yield, rib cage and breast skin between the treatments. Therefore, the use of this supplement in the diet of poultry is not justified in terms of the finished product.
