Informe final BruncArte 2023-2025

Abstract

El presente documento es un esfuerzo por sistematizar dos años y medio de trabajo del proyecto de extensión de la Universidad Nacional y la Universidad Estatal a Distancia Fortalecimiento del arte y la cultura en la Región Brunca desde una propuesta interuniversitaria (BruncArte). Durante este tiempo, el proyecto ha cumplido su función de promover y facilitar espacios de participación, diálogo y expresión artística y cultural en seis de los siete cantones de la Región Brunca de Costa Rica, alcanzando a decenas de artistas y cientos de niños, niñas, jóvenes y adultos a lo largo y ancho del territorio que constituye su área de impacto. En estas páginas, el lector encontrará evidencias de las acciones realizadas durante el segundo semestre de 2023 y los años 2024 y 2025, agrupadas por modalidad y por año. Así, primero se presentan algunos de los talleres artísticos realizados en diversos cantones y comunidades, incluyendo aquellos realizados en territorios indígenas. Seguidamente, se ofrece un resumen de las actividades artísticas y espectáculos llevados a cabo durante el periodo reportado en cada uno de los seis cantones en los que se trabajó. La siguiente sección se refiere específicamente a dos murales que se promovieron y produjeron en Corredores y en Buenos Aires. Finalmente, este informe ofrece una mirada a los procesos de socialización de resultados que se realizaron durante 2025 en los seis cantones, y a los cortos documentales que se produjeron sobre el panorama artístico y cultural de cada uno. Esperamos que al revisar este documento, el lector logre crear para sí una imagen clara de lo que ha sido y ha logrado el Proyecto BruncArte durante el periodo 2023-2025, y el impacto que este ha venido generando en las comunidades del sur de Costa Rica. El reto y el privilegio durante este tiempo han sido primero el de conocer nuestro territorio y luego el de apreciar más y más su riqueza artística y cultural, a la vez que unimos fuerzas para realzar el escenario en el cual ya de por sí nuestras comunidades se expresan y se construyen desde las artes y las manifestaciones culturales. Ojalá que, al disfrutar de este insumo, nuestros lectores también se encuentren cara a cara con algunas de las virtudes de nuestra Región Brunca.

This document is an effort to systematize two and a half years of work by the National University and the State Distance University's outreach project, "Strengthening Art and Culture in the Brunca Region through an Inter-University Approach" (BruncArte). During this time, the project has fulfilled its mission of promoting and facilitating spaces for participation, dialogue, and artistic and cultural expression in six of the seven cantons of the Brunca Region of Costa Rica, reaching dozens of artists and hundreds of children, youth, and adults throughout its area of ​​impact. In these pages, the reader will find evidence of the activities carried out during the second half of 2023 and the years 2024 and 2025, grouped by modality and year. First, some of the artistic workshops held in various cantons and communities are presented, including those in indigenous territories. Then, a summary of the artistic activities and performances carried out during the reported period in each of the six cantons where the project took place is provided. The following section specifically addresses two murals that were promoted and produced in Corredores and Buenos Aires. Finally, this report offers a glimpse into the processes of disseminating results that took place during 2025 in the six cantons, and the short documentaries produced about the artistic and cultural landscape of each. We hope that by reviewing this document, the reader will gain a clear understanding of what the BruncArte Project has been and achieved during the 2023-2025 period, and the impact it has had on the communities of southern Costa Rica. The challenge and the privilege during this time have been, first, to get to know our territory and then to increasingly appreciate its artistic and cultural richness, while joining forces to enhance the already vibrant environment in which our communities express themselves and develop through the arts and cultural expressions. We hope that, by enjoying this resource, our readers will also come face to face with some of the virtues of our Brunca Region.
