This research focused primarily on the representation of the psychosocial trauma of war (as defined in the studies of Ignacio Martín-Baró and in the resilience projects of Boris Cyrulnik) in three post-war Central American novels, namely: (a.) Huracán corazón del cielo (Hurricane Heart of the Sky) (1995), by Franz Galich, (b.) 300 (2011), by Rafael Cuevas, and (c.) El sueño del retorno (The Dream of Return) (2013), by Horacio Castellanos Moya. The first two literary texts refer to the Guatemalan armed conflict (1960-1996) and the third to the Salvadoran civil war (1981-1992). The general perspective of cultural studies enables the analysis of the proposed works from disciplines related to literature, such as memory studies, psychosocial theory, and literary historiography. In this way, reading possibilities were developed that implied a greater cultural and political range and, at the same time, pointed toward new lines of multidisciplinary debate regarding Central American narrative.
