Personas adultas mayores se capacitan: formando líderes para una imagen positiva del envejecimiento y la vejez

Abstract

Se presenta aquí la sistematización de una iniciativa interinstitucional entre el Consejo Nacional de la Persona Adulta Mayor (CONAPAM), la Junta de Pensiones y Jubilaciones del Magisterio Nacional (JUPEMA) y la Subcomisión Persona Adulta Mayor del Consejo Nacional de Rectores (CONARE) que tuvo como objetivo capacitar a un grupo de 26 personas pensionadas en temas relacionados con envejecimiento activo, abuso y maltrato, legislación, ciudades amigables y una nueva imagen del envejecimiento y la vejez con el fin de que éstas a su vez capacitaran a otros grupos de población. Se utilizaron principios gerontagógicos para organizar una capacitación acorde con las personas aprendientes.
