La crisis en educación y su subsunción al mundo del trabajo en Costa Rica

Resumen
Esta contribución analiza la ruta política en educación que se ha llevado a cabo en Costa Rica durante las últimas dos décadas para desarrollar habilidades para el trabajo en declive de la calidad educativa en términos de rendimiento escolar y promoción de la investigación. El objetivo fue analizar el estrecho margen que imponen los sectores productivos y la demanda laboral en la producción científica y el desarrollo integral de la educación. Así, desde la óptica del autor, se plantea la relación entre desarrollo de conocimiento y la valoración –en lo económico– de ese conocimiento, a partir de las estrategias educativas limitadas al desarrollo de puestos de ocupación baja o media. Se concluye que para direccionar y equilibrar la balanza se debe invertir en investigación e innovación, y con ello potenciar el desarrollo cognitivo, ético y social en la niñez y la adolescencia, para vincular, adecuadamente, la educación y el mundo del trabajo.
This contribution analyzes the political route in education that has been carried out in Costa Rica during the last two decades to develop skills for the work in declining educational quality in terms of school performance and promotion of research. The objective was to analyze the narrow margin imposed by the productive sectors and the labor demand in scientific production and the integral development of education. Thus, from the author's point of view, the relationship between the development of knowledge and the valuation –economically– of that knowledge is considered, based on educational strategies limited to the development of low or medium occupation positions. It is concluded that in order to direct and balance the balance, investment in research and innovation must be invested, and with this, promote cognitive, ethical and social development in childhood and adolescence, to adequately link education and the world of work.
