Relaciones intergeneracionales: encuentro de saberes y solidaridad

Abstract

Las personas aprendemos unas de otras y en convivencia. Las relaciones intergeneracionales permiten que personas de diferente origen edad, étnico, clase social y económica, género y experiencias interactúen, se conozcan, se entiendan y comprendan los valores compartidos. Además, son instrumento para detectar los talentos creativos de los niños/jóvenes y ancianos y ponerlos al servicio de la comunidad, así como aprender a trabajar, jugar y vivir juntas y juntos. Las relaciones entre distintas generaciones, en cualquier etapa de la vida, son gratificantes y hacen posible el desarrollo integral de la persona. Aquí se explicita la metodología del quehacer de la docencia y la extensión del Programa de Atención Integral de la Persona Adulta Mayor (PAIPAM), del Centro de Estudios Generales, Universidad Nacional (UNA), Costa Rica, en donde se ha considerado importante el aprendizaje en ambientes en los cuales se propicien las relaciones intergeneracionales.

People learn from each other and in coexistence. Intergenerational relationships allow people of different age, ethnic origin, social and economic class, gender and experiences to interact, get to know each other, understand each other and understand shared values. In addition, they are an instrument for detecting the creative talents of children/youth and the elderly and putting them at the service of the community, as well as learning to work, play and live together. Relationships between different generations, at any stage of life, are gratifying and make possible the integral development of the person. Here the methodology of the teaching task and the extension of the Comprehensive Care Program for the Elderly Person (PAIPAM), of the Center for General Studies, National University (UNA), Costa Rica, where learning has been considered important. in environments in which intergenerational relationships are fostered.
