Resumen
Las personas aprendemos unas de otras y en convivencia. Las relaciones intergeneracionales permiten que personas de diferente origen edad, étnico, clase social y económica, género y experiencias interactúen, se conozcan, se entiendan y comprendan los valores compartidos. Además, son instrumento para detectar los talentos creativos de los niños/jóvenes y ancianos y ponerlos al servicio de la comunidad, así como aprender a trabajar, jugar y vivir juntas y juntos. Las relaciones entre distintas generaciones, en cualquier etapa de la vida, son gratificantes y hacen posible el desarrollo integral de la persona. Aquí se explicita la metodología del quehacer de la docencia y la extensión del Programa de Atención Integral de la Persona Adulta Mayor (PAIPAM), del Centro de Estudios Generales, Universidad Nacional (UNA), Costa Rica, en donde se ha considerado importante el aprendizaje en ambientes en los cuales se propicien las relaciones intergeneracionales.
