These techniques allowed for the collection of detailed information on current waste management practices and community perceptions in this regard. The results obtained revealed a high level of interest and commitment on the part of families to improve solid waste management in the community. However, significant gaps were identified in terms of basic knowledge on appropriate waste management practices. Furthermore, the absence of a municipal solid waste collection service was evident, which has contributed to environmental pollution and the waste of valuable resources. Based on these conclusions, a series of recommendations were formulated aimed at addressing the problem comprehensively. These recommendations include strengthening community ties, promoting recycling programs at the municipal level, conducting educational campaigns on solid waste management, and implementing measures to improve waste management infrastructure in the community.
