Resumen
La Asociación para el Apoyo y Promoción del Turismo en Bahía Junquillal de Cuajiniquil
de La Cruz (ASOJUNQUILLAL), es una organización fundada en 2019, en Cuajiniquil de La
Cruz, Guanacaste, que gestiona el Refugio de Vida Silvestre Bahía Junquillal.
ASOJUNQUILLAL tiene como objetivo brindar servicios turísticos de calidad que
incluyen tours marítimos y terrestres, zonas de camping, y otras actividades recreativas. Su misión
principal es impulsar el desarrollo socioeconómico y turístico de la comunidad, del cantón,
fomentando la participación local y la sostenibilidad del destino. Sin embargo, hasta la fecha, la
Asociación ha enfrentado desafíos significativos, debido a la insuficiencia de recursos, lo que ha
limitado su capacidad para ampliar sus servicios y atraer un mayor número de visitantes, tanto
nacionales como internacionales.
El presente plan estratégico para ASOJUNQUILLAL, tiene como finalidad destacar las
áreas clave que requieren fortalecimiento para posicionar a la Asociación como un actor relevante
en el mercado turístico costarricense. Entre las estrategias propuestas se incluye acciones
específicas dirigidas a mejorar la exposición digital de la organización. Esto implica un enfoque
integral en redes sociales, con contenido atractivo y dirigido a segmentos clave del mercado, tanto
nacional como internacional.
Además, se propondrá campañas de promoción que resalten los valores únicos de Bahía
Junquillal como un destino natural y tranquilo, ideal para el ecoturismo. Estas campañas no solo
se enfocarán en atraer a turistas internacionales, sino también en incentivar a los viajeros
nacionales, a descubrir las riquezas de la región. Para ello, se trabajará en alianzas con operadores
turísticos, agencias de viaje y plataformas en línea especializadas en turismo sostenible, con el fin
de incluir a ASOJUNQUILLAL en paquetes y promociones turísticas más amplias.
Un aspecto central de este plan es la diversificación de los servicios ofrecidos en el refugio.
Se propone el desarrollo de nuevas experiencias turísticas, que no solo añadan valor a la oferta
actual, sino que también permitan captar nichos específicos de mercado. Estas iniciativas incluyen
rutas guiadas temáticas que exploren la flora y fauna locales, talleres de educación ambiental y
eventos centrados en la conservación y sostenibilidad.
Estas experiencias diferenciadas pueden posicionar a ASOJUNQUILLAL, como un
destino para el ecoturismo, atrayendo a un público interesado en la naturaleza, la conservación y
la cultura local. Asimismo, la implementación de estas actividades contribuirá al desarrollo
económico local, al generar empleo y fomentar la participación de la comunidad en la oferta
turística.
Otro punto clave de este plan es mejorar la infraestructura y los servicios del refugio para
hacer frente a la creciente demanda. Se planea invertir en la mejora de las zonas de camping, la
creación de áreas de descanso y la adecuación de senderos, lo cual aumentará la capacidad de carga
del refugio y mejorará la experiencia del visitante.
Además, se buscará promover la sostenibilidad en cada una de estas mejoras, utilizando
materiales reciclables y métodos de construcción respetuosos con el medio ambiente. Esto, no solo
fortalecerá la imagen de ASOJUNQUILLAL, como un destino turístico responsable, sino que
también contribuirá a atraer a visitantes, quienes valoran la conservación y la sostenibilidad.
En resumen, este Plan de Mercadeo es una herramienta fundamental para el desarrollo de
ASOJUNQUILLAL y su entorno. Mediante la implementación de estrategias digitales, de
diversificación de servicios y de mejora en la infraestructura, se espera, no solo aumentar la
visibilidad y el atractivo del destino, sino también contribuir con el crecimiento socioeconómico
de la comunidad.
Al posicionarse como un referente en ecoturismo y turismo sostenible, ASOJUNQUILLAL
estará en condiciones de aprovechar el auge del turismo en Costa Rica y convertirse en un destino
turístico clave, dentro del mercado nacional e internacional.
The Association for the Support and Promotion of Tourism in Junquillal Bay of Cuajiniquil de La Cruz (ASOJUNQUILLAL) is an organization founded in 2019 in Cuajiniquil de La Cruz, Guanacaste, which manages the Junquillal Bay Wildlife Refuge. Its main mission is to contribute to the socioeconomic growth of the community and the canton, encouraging local participation and sustainability of the destination. However, to date, the association has faced significant challenges due to insufficient resources, which have limited its ability to expand its services and attract a greater number of national and international visitors. This strategic plan identifies key areas for improvement to position ASOJUNQUILLAL as a strong player in Costa Rica’s tourism Market. The proposed strategies include specific actions designed to enhance the organization's digital presence. This involves a comprehensive approach in social networks, with attractive content aimed at key segments of the market, both nationally and internationally. In addition, promotional campaigns will be proposed that highlight the unique values of Junquillal Bay as a natural and tranquil destination, ideal for ecotourism. These campaigns will not only focus on attracting international tourists, but also on encouraging domestic travelers to discover the region's riches. To this end, we will work in alliances with tour operators, travel agencies, and online platforms specializing in sustainable tourism, in order to include ASOJUNQUILLAL in broader tourism packages and promotions. A central aspect of this plan is the diversification of the services offered at the refuge. It proposes the development of new tourism experiences that not only add value to the current offerings but also capture specific market niches. These initiatives include themed guided tours that explore local flora and fauna, environmental education workshops, and events focused on conservation and sustainability. These unique experiences can help establish ASOJUNQUILLAL as a leading ecotourism destination, attracting an audience interested in nature, conservation, and local culture. The implementation of these activities will also contribute to local economic development by generating employment and encouraging community participation in tourism. Another key point of this plan is to improve the refuge's infrastructure and services to meet growing demand. It is planned to invest in improving camping areas, creating rest areas, and upgrading trails, which will increase the refuge's carrying capacity and improve the visitor experience. In addition, sustainability will be promoted in each of these improvements, using recyclable materials and environmentally friendly construction methods. This will not only strengthen ASOJUNQUILLAL is image as a responsible tourism destination but will also help attract visitors who value conservation and sustainability. In summary, this Marketing Plan is a fundamental tool for the development of ASOJUNQUILLAL and its environment. Through the implementation of digital strategies, diversification of services and improvement of infrastructure, it is expected not only to increase the visibility and attractiveness of the destination, but also to contribute to the socioeconomic growth of the community.
