Resumen
El presente artículo muestra los resultados de un taller realizado en RELME 29, sobre nudos y patrones
como una forma de expresión matemática de Guatemala y Costa Rica. Dicha actividad representó un esfuerzo
mancomunado de investigadores de las etnomatemáticas de ambos países centroamericanos, con el propósito de
ofrecer a los participantes, la vivencia de fabricación de tejidos que se construyen mediante nudos y patrones, así como
la confección de quipús, que son cuerdas anudadas utilizadas para el resguardo de la información contable. Su objetivo
radica en identificar la importancia etnomatemática que implica para América Latina estos tipos de confección artesanal,
y la importancia de su vinculación en el salón de clase. Lo anterior es un esfuerzo que forma parte de la salvaguardia del
patrimonio cultural intangible latinoamericano
This article shows the results of a workshop held in RELME 29 on knots and patterns as a form of mathematical expression of Guatemala and Costa Rica. This activity represents a joint effort by researchers Ethnomathematics of both Central American countries in order to provide participants with the experience of manufacturing fabrics are constructed by knots and patterns and making quipu, which are knotted cords used to guard the accounting information. Its aim is to identify Ethnomathematics importance for Latin America involving these types of hand crafted, and the importance of their relationship in the classroom. This is an effort that is part of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage of Latin America
