Modelo de desarrollo territorial valijas viajeras: proyecto itinerante de fomento de lectura infantil

Abstract

Las valijas viajeras ofrecen espacios de ocio, fomento a la lectura y adquisición de nuevos conocimientos. Mediante el préstamo interinstitucional, el recurso tiene como objeto llegar a la población infantil costarricense que se caracteriza por permanecer a zonas en condición de vulnerabilidad, para gozar de diferentes actividades que le permitan contar con espacios de ocio, recreación, fomento a la lectura, y también aprendizaje. Ahora bien, para la elaboración y ejecución del modelo de valijas viajeras se realiza un total de once procesos que se documentan en el apartado, el modelo se enfoca en infantes de 3 y 12 años de edad, y los adultos vinculados a instituciones relacionadas con la niñez en condición de vulnerabilidad social, interesados en recibir el servicio. Y con respecto a las consideraciones éticas sobre el uso de la información sobre insumos adquiridos para analizar, rendir cuentas, y tomar decisiones en beneficio de la mejora del servicio, se realiza de manera transparente manipulado alguna información de manera confidencial y otra información de manera más abierta por consentimiento de las personas que han brindado la información al relacionarse con el servicio. Los resultados se enfocan en tres instrumentos diferentes que han permitido recopilar información sobre la identificación de los centros educativos donde se ha llevado el servicio y el lugar, cantidad de personas alcanzadas, y la opinión de los docentes sobre la percepción al utilizar y aplicar la valija a los menores. A nivel de conclusiones y recomendaciones es importante indicar que el desarrollo de un servicio de valija viajera requiere un proceso logístico que incluye una serie de aspectos que son importantes de considerar. Por otra parte, la valija como modelo de desarrollo territorial pretende trabajar en conjunto con la comunidad con la que trabaja para mejorar el servicio y contribuir con las necesidades identificadas. El modelo de valijas es replicable y se puede adaptar a otra necesidad. Se recomienda que otras instancias se unan a proyectos similares de manera que el sector social que se encuentre en vulnerabilidad social cuente con servicios similares.

Traveling suitcases offer spaces for leisure, reading promotion, and the acquisition of new knowledge. Through the inter-institutional loan, the resource aims to reach the Costa Rican child population that is characterized by staying in areas in vulnerable conditions, to enjoy different activities that allow them to have spaces for leisure, recreation, reading promotion, and also learning. Now, for the elaboration and execution of the traveling suitcase model, a total of eleven processes are carried out, which are documented in the section. The model focuses on children between 3 and 12 years of age, and adults linked to institutions related to children in conditions of social vulnerability, interested in receiving the service. And with respect to the ethical considerations on the use of information on acquired inputs to analyze, render accounts, and make decisions for the benefit of improving the service, it is done in a transparent manner, handling some information confidentially and other information in a more open manner by consent of the people who have provided the information when relating to the service. The results focus on three different instruments that have allowed us to gather information on the identification of the educational centers where the service has been carried out and the place, the number of people reached, and the opinion of teachers on their perception when using and applying the suitcase to minors. At the level of conclusions and recommendations, it is important to indicate that the development of a traveling suitcase service requires a logistical process that includes a series of aspects that are important to consider. On the other hand, the suitcase as a territorial development model aims to work together with the community with which it works to improve the service and contribute to the identified needs. The suitcase model is replicable and can be adapted to other needs. It is recommended that other entities join similar projects so that the social sector that is in social vulnerability has similar services.
