Resumen
El presente trabajo desarrolla un plan de internacionalización y comercialización para la empresa BOWO S.R.L., ubicada en Cartago, Costa Rica, con el fin de exportar envoltorios reutilizables de cera de abeja al mercado de California, Estados Unidos, aprovechando las ventajas logísticas, técnicas y legales de este destino y la ventaja competitiva de ser la primera empresa costarricense en incursionar en dicho nicho; para ello, se plantea como objetivo general diseñar una estrategia integral para la exportación de estos envoltorios sostenibles, lo cual se fundamenta en los objetivos específicos de determinar el contexto empresarial y la capacidad productiva de BOWO S.R.L., investigar la legislación estadounidense y los requisitos técnicos para productos sostenibles, analizar exhaustivamente las características demográficas, psicográficas y geográficas del consumidor interesado en California, y finalmente, estructurar la estrategia de internacionalización y comercialización definitiva para el éxito del proyecto.
This paper develops an internationalization and marketing plan for the company BOWO S.R.L., located in Cartago, Costa Rica, with the aim of exporting reusable beeswax wraps to the California market in the United States, taking advantage of the logistical, technical, and legal benefits of this destination and the competitive advantage of being the first Costa Rican company to enter this niche; to this end, the general objective is to design a comprehensive strategy for the export of these sustainable wraps, which is based on the specific objectives of determining the business context and production capacity of BOWO S.R.L., researching U.S. legislation and technical requirements for sustainable products, exhaustively analyzing the demographic, psychographic, and geographic characteristics of the interested consumer in California, and finally, structuring the definitive internationalization and marketing strategy for the project's success.
