Foreign trade is an activity of great relevance for any country, mainly because of its outstanding role in the promotion of economic and social development. Currently, foreign trade has been affected by the world economic recession and by the protectionist policies of developed countries, which is why the national exporter must become more and more specialized about the conditions in the potential markets to which his products are destined. It is essential that all the auxiliary instruments of the operations, mainly export operations, be more and more agile and precise; among these it is indispensable to focus on the importance of information and particularly, documentary research. It is through various phases of market research such as: planning, information gathering, analysis and delivery of information, that the analyst can identify potential consumers for a given product or products and thus strengthen the exporter with subsidies for a more effective action.Within the framework of foreign trade, agribusiness is called to play a relevant role in our country, especially because of its multiple advantages, among which are the generation of jobs and the use of the country's own resources. It is also favorable for the balance of payments to use a greater proportion of domestic raw materials, and therefore reduce imports of inputs. In view of the above, agroindustry is a sector whose development can become a viable alternative, in relation to the needs, interests and priorities of national development. Agro-industry, specifically that of non-traditional food products, which is the subject of this study, currently presents some problems that hinder the entry of these products more effectively into foreign markets, especially the European Economic Community or European Common Market. These are: transportation, regular supply of raw materials, hygiene and quality control, idle installed capacity, financial problems and export awareness, which will be analyzed in detail in the course of this paper.
