The number of species will be the product of the influence of the factors that operate in each of them. For example, it has been documented that at a regional scale the composition of species is influenced by the diversity of habitats, structure and hydrology. (Blaber, 2007). It is important to record the species composition of each of these scales because it is a site-specific condition. For this reason, the objective of this research was to determine the diversity of fish associated with the mangroves of Isla Palo Seco, Puntarenas.
