This research, identified as; Directed Practice, was carried out in the Municipality of San José (MSJ), in the Department of Social Services (DSS), in conjunction with the Social Solidarity Economy Program (PESSO), for this, a diagnosis of a pilot test was prepared for the creation of district micro-business nodes, in the Canton of San José (CSJ), district of Pavas. This study was carried out because the PESSO, in February 2023, begins a project with the proposal to promote subsistence models for the vulnerable population of the CSJ. This project is carried out because, in part of the Costa Rican population, the model of home micro-enterprises is booming, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, this to survive and cover family needs, due to unemployment. The diagnosis was carried out from March 2023 to June 2024. Its short duration is due to the fact that, as mentioned above, it is a pilot test applied in the Pavas district, which will initiate the project established by the PESSO, for future application of the diagnosis in the 11 districts of the CSJ. Thus, the main proposal of the research is established from one of the current needs that the MSJ, the DDS and the PESSO face and intend to address, which is the creation of district micro-business nodes in said canton. The importance of this project lies in the application of the diagnosis in the Pavas district, since it is intended that people who have home micro-enterprises improve their economic condition and quality of life. To do this, it seeks to make known how they operate and the characteristics of the subsistence models, as well as to encourage the participation of different organizations, public and private institutions that can contribute to the collaborative financial sustainability of home micro-enterprises. It should be noted that this research generates an impact of relevant information for the Municipality of San José, since, based on the results of the diagnosis, the institution will be able to take solidarity measures towards the population that has micro-enterprises in the canton of San José, for the improvement of the economic regeneration and quality of life of this group of people.
