A proposal is being developed for the structure and floristic composition of the green network in the canton of San Pablo de Heredia, using data from the National Forest Census, records from the National Museum, and the Urban Forest Census. The canton has an area of 7.53 km² and is located between 1000 and 1260 meters above sea level, covering two life zones: Premontane Humid Forest and Premontane Very Humid Forest, with rainfall varying between 1200-4000 mm. The methodology, based on Orozco-Meza (2013), includes the analysis of sidewalks and parks according to minimum width and contiguous area. Using Quantum GIS, the effective area of sidewalks that meet the requirements is calculated. A list of native and exotic species found in these areas is generated. It focuses on the Premontane Rainforest, obtaining data from the DH-NMN on collections since 1889 and building a database of recommended species. For the analysis of tree density, data from the 2015 National Forest Inventory (INF) is used, calculating abundance, Importance Value Index (IVI), and biological diversity, highlighting the 10 species with the greatest ecological weight.
