This research reflects on the academic and psychosocial implications of virtual pedagogical practice within the framework of SARS-CoV-2, in a Public University of Costa Rica. The research responds to the naturalistic paradigm, with a dominant qualitative approach. There was the contribution of a student group of 40 young people of II, III and IV level of a teaching career, they were surveyed using a questionnaire-type instrument, which was applied online, consisting of closed and open questions. The main results of the research show that students see their university education in virtual mode affected by psychosocial factors such as: adequate physical space to develop the learning process, access to computer and internet resources, these situations have had an impact on their physical health (back pain, head among others). Regarding academic factors, the overload of work, communication and delivery of teaching were identified, all of the above generates stress. Positive components were also identified, such as not having to travel, being with their family, generating autonomous learning strategies.
