El aprendizaje activo en la carrera de Enseñanza del Inglés: Su sistematización en la aplicación práctica en el tercer cuatrimestre del 2022, en la ULACIT de Costa Rica

Resumen
En un mundo que con el tiempo se mueve cada vez más rápido y que está en constante
actualización, es imprescindible que la enseñanza y el aprendizaje no se excluyan de esta
evolución. Actualmente, muchas instituciones educativas siguen estancadas en el modelo
tradicional de educación en el que todo se evaluaba memorísticamente. Debido a las exigencias
presentes de la sociedad, es primordial buscar nuevas maneras de compartir conocimiento, por
ejemplo el aprendizaje activo. Este método educativo tiene el potencial de brindar al
estudiantado una manera más significativa de adquirir saberes. Asimismo, otorga la oportunidad
de acrecentar las tan importantes habilidades del siglo XXI. En estas, los estudiantes incrementan
capacidades como: la solución de problemas, el uso de la tecnología, el trabajo en equipo, la
comunicación, y la creatividad. Durante la sistematización de la aplicación del método del
aprendizaje activo en las clases de enseñanza del inglés en la Universidad Latinoamericana de la
Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT) de Costa Rica, se motivó a los estudiantes a participar de una
manera más interactiva, la cual generó un conocimiento más significativo y práctico para su
formación y desempeño profesional. Por ende, a través de la puesta en práctica se confirma la
teoría que sustenta el método, lo cual motiva aún más a seguir utilizándola en contextos
educativos.
In a world that moves faster and faster over time and is constantly updated, it is essential that teaching and learning are not excluded from this evolution. Currently, many educational institutions remain trapped in the traditional model of education, in which everything was studied using rote memorization. Due to the current demands of society, new ways of sharing knowledge such as active learning must be considered. This educational approach has the potential to offer students a more meaningful way to acquire knowledge. It also provides the opportunity to increase the important skills of the 21st century. In these, students enhance skills such as: problem solving, the use of technology, teamwork, communication, and creativity. While systematizing the application of the method in English teaching classes at the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) in Costa Rica, students were encouraged to participate in a more interactive way which generated more meaningful and practical knowledge for their training and professional performance. Therefore, through the application of the method, the theory supporting the method is confirmed, which motivates even more to continue using it in educational contexts.
