Resumen
El Instituto del Niño (INI) de la Universidad Nacional trata de poner en marcha un programa nacional de información infantil que facilitará la transferencia, manejo y aprovechamiento de la misma. El proyecto involucra la participación de las instituciones costarricenses relacionadas con la niñez y la familia. Será coordinado por el Centro Focal de Información Infantil del INI.
Los objetivos del programa son:
Divulgar las actividades nacionales que se relacionan con el menor y la familia.
Agilizar el flujo y el intercambio de información infantil.
Contribuir con la organización de la información existente en el país.
Estimular el acercamiento entre las unidades de información y documentación y los usuarios potenciales.
Como primera etapa de este Programa, el INI realizó, en agosto de 1992, el I Seminario Nacional de Información Infantil, en el que participaron representantes de 33 instituciones, organismos y dependencias nacionales, con el objetivo de facilitar la transferencia de la información infantil. En este seminario, se obtuvieron lineamientos claros y propuestas de trabajo que el INI retomó para sistematizar y proponer proyectos específicos.
The National University's Children's Institute (INI) is seeking to implement a national children's information program that will facilitate the transfer, management, and use of information. The project involves Costa Rican institutions related to children and families. It will be coordinated by the INI's Children's Information Focal Center. The program's objectives are: To disseminate national activities related to children and families. To streamline the flow and exchange of children's information. To contribute to the organization of existing information in the country. To foster closer ties between information and documentation units and potential users. As the first stage of this program, the INI held the First National Children's Information Seminar in August 1992, attended by representatives from 33 national institutions, agencies, and departments, with the goal of facilitating the transfer of children's information. This seminar produced clear guidelines and work proposals, which the INI used to systematize and propose specific projects.
