El abordaje del bullying como fenómeno social en una institución de secundaria de zona rural

Abstract

El presente estudio analiza el abordaje del fenómeno social del bullying que realizan las personas profesionales de Orientación del Colegio Técnico Profesional de Acosta. Por ello, como propósitos del estudio se plantean conocer las situaciones de bullying que se presentan en la institución, observar las acciones orientadas a la prevención del bullying que las personas profesionales en Orientación realizan en lo institucional, familiar, grupal e individual, así como identificar las pautas de intervención del bullying que las personas profesionales en Orientación realizan en lo institucional, grupal, individual y familiar. Las personas participantes en esta investigación fueron 12 personas. La misma, se sustentó en el paradigma naturalista, permitiendo realizar un análisis a esos significados y percepciones que presenta la población participante, además, se seleccionó el enfoque fenomenológico, ya que este permite analizar ese abordaje desde un grupo o comunidades, como es el caso de las personas participantes de la institución educativa. Por lo cual, el presente estudio se fundamentó desde el diseño narrativo debido a que el mismo permite conocer y entender los fenómenos sociales, es decir, el abordaje del fenómeno social del bullying, además, el método seleccionado para esta investigación es el cualitativo, dado a que la persona investigadora considera tanto el escenario como las personas participantes como un todo, es decir, las personas participantes y los contextos se consideran en conjunto. Como parte de los resultados obtenidos, se evidencia que el bullying es multicausal, debido a que se genera por diversas situaciones, además, se rescata que el bullying y sus aspectos no están claros, se presenta confusión acerca de la prevención y en la intervención del bullying y lo que se trabaja en cada aspecto, dado a que no toda la comunidad educativa se encuentra involucrada en las diferentes acciones o medidas que conlleva la prevención e intervención de este. También, que sí se efectúa un abordaje del fenómeno social del bullying, ya que esto se evidencia por medio de diversas estrategias expuestas por las personas participantes, no obstante, hay aspectos que aún no se manejan o desarrollan, lo cual es necesario para combatir una necesidad tan latente como lo es el bullying.

This study analyzes how guidance counselors at the Acosta Technical Professional College address the social phenomenon of bullying. The study aims to identify bullying situations within the institution, observe the bullying prevention actions taken by guidance counselors at the institutional, family, group, and individual levels, and identify their intervention strategies for addressing bullying at these same levels. Twelve people participated in the research. The study was based on the naturalistic paradigm, allowing for an analysis of the meanings and perceptions held by the participants. Additionally, a phenomenological approach was selected, as it allows for the analysis of this approach from the perspective of a group or community, as is the case with the participants at the educational institution. Therefore, this study was based on a narrative design because it allows for understanding social phenomena, specifically the social phenomenon of bullying. Furthermore, the method selected for this research is qualitative, as the researcher considers both the setting and the participants as a whole; that is, the participants and the contexts are considered together. Among the results obtained, it is evident that bullying is multicausal, as it arises from various situations. Additionally, it is clear that bullying and its aspects are not well understood, and there is confusion regarding prevention and intervention, as well as what is being addressed in each area. This is because not all members of the educational community are involved in the different actions or measures involved in its prevention and intervention. While the social phenomenon of bullying is indeed being addressed, as evidenced by the various strategies presented by the participants, there are still aspects that are not being managed or developed, which is necessary to combat such a pressing need as bullying.
