Indicadores para valorar la calidad de la enseñanza en Matemática
Abstract
In the last decade some difficulties have been detected in the teaching and learning of mathematics in Costa Rica. This is evidenced, for example, by the results in the Baccalaureate tests and the diagnosis made to Secondary Mathematics teachers in 2010 (Fourth State of Education Report, 2013). In particular, the latter highlights limitations that some teachers have in terms of mastering certain mathematical concepts. In this workshop some elements will be shared to analyze the mathematical quality of a teacher's instruction when teaching mathematical concepts. Participants are expected to reflect on their teaching practice and, in turn, obtain recommendations and suggestions that improve the teaching and learning processes they carry out.
