Resumen
La pasantía se realizó en el Centro Veterinario México, ubicado en la Ciudad de México,
durante los meses de febrero, marzo y abril del 2018.
Durante la pasantía, se atendieron 480 cirugías en total, de las cuales 90 (18,8%) fueron
cirugías relacionadas con ortopedia, incluyendo 34 casos traumáticos (37,8%) y 56 no
traumáticos (62,2%).
Los principales diagnósticos fueron: fracturas, ruptura de ligamento cruzado anterior y
luxación de patela. También se abordó un caso de incongruencia articular, solucionado
con elongación ósea por osteogénesis por distracción.
Se adquirió práctica y destreza en los quehaceres diarios de un quirófano con considerable
afluencia de pacientes, además, se determinó que hay similitudes entre las patologías
ortopédicas observadas en la pasantía y las que se reportan a nivel nacional.
