Huacas
The project focuses on evaluating the current situation of the Huacas aqueduct to improve its water management and guarantee efficient water service for human consumption. This study aims to identify opportunities for improvement to optimize the service, anticipating the integration of a greater number of users to the system. This project seeks to diagnose the current state of the aqueduct, proposing concrete solutions and actions to strengthen the effectiveness, quality, and sustainability of the drinking water supply in Huacas. Chapter 1. Introduction The first chapter of this project presents essential information that lays the foundation for its development. Fundamental sections are addressed such as the problem statement, which shows the urgency and reason behind the strengthening plan for Huacas. In addition, a detailed justification is provided that argues for the prevailing need for the project. In this context, the general objective and the specific objectives that will guide the execution of the project are established, as well as the scope and limitations that mark the context and scope of action of the study. Chapter 2. Background The second chapter of the project provides a detailed contextualization of the study area using previously collected information. This section includes a description of the area, where the geographical characteristics and relevant socioeconomic activities are analyzed, along with the specific background of the ASADA of Huacas. Chapter 3. Theoretical Framework The third section of the project provides clear and precise definitions of fundamental conceptual elements. These definitions are structured to offer meaningful understanding to readers and allow them to build a solid understanding of the key elements related to the project. These definitions are organized in a way that facilitates the overall understanding of the project and provides a solid theoretical foundation for the reader.8 Chapter 4. Prefeasibility Studies This section addresses a comprehensive pre-feasibility study, encompassing legal, environmental, social, financial, and technical analyses. Based on the results obtained in these studies, it was concluded that the project is viable for its development. Chapter 5. Methodology The fifth section details the methodology used in the current project. The general components of the methodology are presented, covering the type of research, the research method and the different stages followed in the study. The purpose is to meet the established objectives to carry out this project effectively. Chapter 6. Results and Discussion Multiple challenges were identified in the ASADA of Huacas, especially in administrative and operational areas. The board of directors has incomplete staff and deficiencies are observed in administrative operations and response times. Solutions are proposed such as the construction of an office to improve efficiency and process automation. Regarding the aqueduct, problems were detected in the intakes, storage tanks and distribution network, such as deficiencies in design, maintenance, and operation. To address these problems, operational plans are suggested that allow daily, monthly, and annual control of all areas of the aqueduct. Chapter 7. Conclusions and Recommendations Finally, the objectives set out in the project were achieved. A proposed water security plan has been prepared that seeks to improve water resource management in ASADA, which represents a significant benefit for the community of Huacas.
