La política pública ambiental costarricense y su vinculación e influencia sobre el sector empresarial transnacionalizado: los casos de Unilever, Florida ICE & FARM, Bridgestone y BAC San José

Abstract

A lo largo de este proyecto de investigación se pretende buscar una respuesta a la interrogante que se tiene planteada, o sea, saber si existe un nivel de vinculación entre la política ambiental costarricense y las políticas o prácticas medio ambientales desarrolladas por las empresas transnacionales anteriormente mencionadas, al mismo tiempo que investigar cuáles son las estrategias y acciones que adoptaron estas empresas para fortalecer con la obtención de indicadores favorables, aún más sus productos y procesos productivos en el ámbito ambiental y comercial. Siendo lo anterior es que se partió de la creación de cuatro objetivos específicos que van a orillar la investigación a la respuesta que se pretende obtener. Desarrollando en cada objetivo diversas herramientas que ayudan a comprender cómo cada empresa desde su perspectiva, limitantes, fortalezas y oportunidades buscan contribuir con el ambiente en algún grado, a la vez, que mejorar sus procesos productivos y posicionar más la marca que representan a nivel nacional como internacional. El objetivo específico número uno, procura estudiar el nivel de vinculación entre la política nacional ambiental y las políticas ambientales empresariales de las empresas que conforman este proyecto de investigación. Throughout this research project we intend to seek an answer to the question that has been raised, that is, to know if there is a level of linkage between the Costa Rican environmental policy and the environmental policies or practices developed by the transnational companies mentioned above, at the same time to investigate what are the strategies and actions adopted by these companies to strengthen their products and production processes in the environmental and commercial field by obtaining favorable indicators, even more. Being the above is that we started from the creation of four specific objectives that will guide the research to the answer that is intended to be obtained. Developing in each objective several tools that help to understand how each company from its perspective, limitations, strengths and opportunities seek to contribute to the environment to some degree, while improving their production processes and positioning the brand they represent nationally and internationally. The specific objective number one, seeks to study the level of linkage between the national environmental policy and the corporate environmental policies of the companies that make up this research project. As the research progresses, it will be possible to demonstrate that there is a high level of linkage between both parties and that it brings more important benefits for both sectors...
