Xibalba : libertad y destino. Hermenéutica simbólica de lo sagrado en el capítulo tercero del Popol Wuj

Abstract

Xibalba: Libertad y Destino Hermenéutica simbólica en el capítulo tercero del Popol Wuj es un estudio resultado del análisis hermenéutico sobre dos categorías existenciales en el símbolo: Libertad y Destino presentes en uno de los capítulos más importantes del Libro Sagrado de los Mayas. El tema de la investigación se estructura en rres capítulos, cada uno de ellos de elemental importancia en el desarrollo y avance del análisis hermenéutico del símbolo en el libro. El primer capítulo es el resultado de la búsqueda de autores y elementos de análisis que fundamenta el marco teórico conceptual a través del cual se articulan y reúnen las categorías de análisis para la hermenéutica del símbolo con los aportes de Andrés Ortiz-Osés, Juan Martín Velasco, Rudolf Otto y Paul Ricoeur principalmente con insumos de otros autores que han dedicado sus esfuerzos al estudio de los símbolos y la fenomenología de lo sagrado. El segundo capítulo presenta en primer término el análisis de la interpretación descriptiva metodología propuesta por Juan Martín Velasco, para posteriormente aplicar categorías de análisis para identificar y determinar los elementos simbólicos como sagrados a partir de la tipología de elementos santos o sagrados establecida por Rudolf Otto. La aplicación de las categorías de análisis de lo numinoso o sagrado, conducen al siguiente paso de la investigación en el tercer capítulo y cuarto capítulo que contienen el análisis hermenéutico, finalidad de esta investigación. Dicho análisis se enfoca en el capítulo tercero del Popol Wuj. En esta fase de la investigación serán claves las teorías de Andrés Ortiz-Osés en lo referente a Libertad y Destino como categorías de análisis en el símbolo, así como los aportes de Paul Ricoeur en torno a lo que el símbolo nos permite pensar como resultado del análisis hermenéutico y la importancia del mito como discurso simbólico.

Xibalba: Freedom and Destiny Symbolic Hermeneutics in the third chapter of the Popol Wuj is a study resulting from the hermeneutical analysis of two existential categories in the symbol: Freedom and Destiny present in one of the most important chapters of the Sacred Book of the Mayas. The research topic is divided into three chapters, each of them of elementary importance in the development and advancement of the hermeneutical analysis of the symbol in the book. The first chapter is the result of the search for authors and elements of analysis that bases the conceptual theoretical framework through which the categories of analysis for the hermeneutics of the symbol are articulated and brought together with the contributions of Andrés Ortiz-Osés, Juan Martín Velasco , Rudolf Otto and Paul Ricoeur mainly with inputs from other authors who have dedicated their efforts to the study of symbols and the phenomenology of the sacred. The second chapter first presents the analysis of the descriptive interpretation methodology proposed by Juan Martín Velasco, to later apply categories of analysis to identify and determine the symbolic elements as sacred from the typology of holy or sacred elements established by Rudolf Otto. The application of the categories of analysis of the numinous or sacred, lead to the next step of the investigation in the third chapter and fourth chapter that contain the hermeneutical analysis, purpose of this investigation. This analysis focuses on the third chapter of the Popol Wuj. In this phase of the research, the theories of Andrés Ortiz-Osés in relation to Freedom and Destiny as categories of analysis in the symbol will be key, as well as the contributions of Paul Ricoeur about what the symbol allows us to think as a result of the hermeneutical analysis and the importance of myth as symbolic discourse.
