Resumen
La gestión del latín gestĭo, hace referencia a la acción y a la consecuencia de administrar o gestionar algo, es decir, que gestionar es llevar a cabo diligencias que hacen posible la realización de una operación comercial o de un anhelo cualquiera. En esta ponencia, se cuenta cómo por medio de la participación y la gestión de las mismas personas adultas mayores, un programa universitario sin presupuesto asignado ha logrado mantenerse, crecer y desarrollarse, entre otras acciones, llevándolo a una comunidad por medio de la alianza estratégica con una municipalidad y formar un grupo de facilitadores(as) y voluntarios(as) que permiten ampliar la oferta y brindar un servicio más humano, solidario, cooperativo y de calidad. Para ello, se comparte la historia de algunas de estas personas, con énfasis en la de doña Gisela, quien, agradecida con la vida y reconociendo todo lo que participar en un programa para mayores tiene de beneficioso, tomó la decisión de gestionar la creación de una sede del mismo en su comunidad y hoy es ella quien lo coordina con el acompañamiento de la Universidad que le dio origen. Para la recolección de la información se utilizó como técnica la Entrevista en Profundidad.
The management of the Latin gestĭo, refers to the action and the consequence of administering or managing something, that is, managing is carrying out procedures that make it possible to carry out a commercial operation or any desire. In this presentation, it is told how through the participation and management of the elderly people themselves, a university program without an assigned budget has managed to maintain, grow and develop, among other actions, taking it to a community through the strategic alliance with a municipality and form a group of facilitators and volunteers that allow expanding the offer and providing a more humane, supportive, cooperative and quality service. For this, the story of some of these people is shared, with emphasis on that of Doña Gisela, who, grateful for life and recognizing all the benefits of participating in a program for the elderly, made the decision to manage the creation of a headquarters of the same in her community and today she is the one who coordinates it with the accompaniment of the University that gave rise to it. For the collection of information, the In-depth Interview was used as a technique.
