Resumen
Se brinda una propuesta que busca la implementación del turismo
rural comunitario mediante la integración de los pobladores par ticipantes del proyecto de la Comunidad de los Ángeles en Cure ña, Sarapiquí, Heredia, Costa Rica. Se muestra el trabajo para el
fortalecimiento de las capacidades de los pobladores de la zona por
medio de talleres enfocados a la gestión del turismo rural comunita rio y procesos que permiten generar la sostenibilidad. La metodología
aplicada incluye generar reflexión para determinar las actividades y ser vicios turísticos disponibles. Como resultado, se obtiene
un inventario de atractivos turísticos, la creación de
un mapa turístico, una página web, un manual de
buenas prácticas turísticas, módulos de capacita ción del “yo” adaptados, un manual de manejo
para conversión en fincas integrales, un ma nual de buenas prácticas de turismo rural comunitario, manual de actividades recreativas, turísticas rurales, rescate de la
identidad cultural, soberanía alimentaria, trabajo con prácticas eco-amigables.
Así se espera consolidar una red de apoyo con actores locales, instituciones, tanto
gubernamentales como de la sociedad civil y la empresa privada. Se recalca el rol
de la universidad como facilitadora de procesos. Las personas de la comunidad
son las llamadas a efectuar los desarrollos relacionados, de manera que logren
empoderarse en cada una de las actividades que se generan, lo cual involucra la
logística y administración de recursos.
This article describes a proposal for seeking the implementation of rural com munity tourism through the integration of the people participating in the project of Los Angeles community, in Cureña of Sarapiqui, Heredia, Costa Rica. The paper also depicts the work of strengthening the local people’s capacities. This work is done by means of workshops focused on the management of rural com munity tourism and of processes generating sustainability. The methodology implemented includes generating reflection to determine the activities and tou rist services available. The results obtained were an inventory of tourist attrac tions, the creation of a tourist map, a web page, a manual of good practices in tourism, I-training adapted modules, a manual for management of conversion process from conventional to integrated farms, a manual of good practices for rural community tourism, and a manual for rural tourism, recreational activi ties, rescue of cultural identity, food sovereignty, and work with eco-friendly practices. It is hoped to consolidate a network of support with local actors, go vernmental and civil society institutions, and the private enterprise. Importance is given to the role of the university as a facilitator of processes. The people of the community are invited to carry out the related developments, so that they become empowered in each of the activities that are generated, which involves the logistics and resource management.
