This directed practice is carried out in a private higher education center called Universidad Central. In this institution, the need arises to store and give a better treatment to the final works of graduation. That is why the Repository of Graduation Final Works of the Central University approved during the years from 2014 to 2016 was created. For the creation of the technological tool, the current status of the graduation final works, their format, storage and control was analyzed. Once this information was obtained, the repository was built through the following stages: Initially, the identification and selection of the final graduation papers was carried out, as well as the processes of organization and retrieval of information. Both objectives resulted in the entry of 334 final graduation works. On the other hand, strategies were established to manage open access through joint work with university authorities and the student population. In addition, the current state of the institution's physical and technological infrastructure was described and, together with this, the various software programs for the technological platform were analyzed in order to finally select the Dspace program. Subsequently, the computer platform for the development of the institutional repository was designed, taking into account the institution's faculty and school structures. Finally, the guidelines for the administration of the institutional repository were established, so that an interdisciplinary team would be involved for the continuity of the technological tool.
