La historia universal comenzará para Hegel con la polis griega, en ella ha surgido por
primera vez la conciencia de libertad, sin embargo la Revolución Francesa señala el
comienzo consciente de la libertad en cuanto ésta es elevada al rango de derecho. En el
caso de Alemania, se vive una situación de verdadero desgarramiento nacional, con la
desintegración política y económica del país, y justamente, la filosofía hegeliana ofrece
una metodología desde el punto de vista histórico, para comprender que las revoluciones
son elementos orgánicos y necesarios de la evolución humana.
