En la actualidad, y ante un mundo globalizado, es primordial introducirse en la continua utilización de la tecnología, por ende, de la computación como herramienta de trabajo, fundamental para el desarrollo de los procesos en las instituciones, tanto públicas como privadas, pues la cantidad de datos e información que se administra es considerablemente grande. El tener una información actualizada y continua en las instituciones ayuda a mantener un orden administrativo y mejorar los servicios brindados, ya que las computadoras han logrado un progreso espectacular en un lapso realmente corto. Con el paso de los años, las empresas privadas han crecido considerablemente, esta situación ha obligado a las instituciones del Estado a mejorar sus servicios, y para ello se vean en la necesidad de implementar y mejorar los sistemas de cómputo.
