Resumen
Resumen. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar el estado del arte de las Ciencias, Tecnologías, Ingeniería y Matemáticas (STEM) en Costa Rica, para lograrlo se trabajó desde el enfoque de la triple hélice, dándolo a conocer en el ámbito estatal, universitario y empresarial. sobre este concepto. La metodología utilizada fue una recopilación de material de los años 2017 al 2022, entre los que destacan estudios realizados en revistas científicas y consulta de sitios web de instituciones públicas y privadas. De esta manera, este trabajo pretende servir como marco de referencia para futuros estudios en la línea STEM que permita, en el largo plazo, proponer mecanismos estratégicos para motivar a más jóvenes a estudiar estas disciplinas y cómo desarrollar actividades académicas en estas áreas que brindan más oportunidades que impactan a la sociedad costarricense.
Abstract. The objective of this work is to present the state of the art of Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Costa Rica, to achieve this we worked from the triple helix approach, making it known in the state, university and sector business about this concept. The methodology used was a compilation of material from the years 2017 to 2022, among which studies carried out in scientific journals and consultation of the websites of public and private institutions stand out. In this way, this work is intended to serve as a framework of reference for future studies in the STEM line that allows, in the long term, to propose strategic mechanisms to motivate more young people to study these disciplines and how to develop academic activities in these areas that provide more opportunities that impact Costa Rican society.
