Abstract

A total of 20 composite samples were obtained in each period in subplots of 1x1m: ten samples were collected in the dry forest habitat and the other ten were collected in the evergreen forest habitat. The soil was collected with a drill, to a depth of 20cm. The density of nematodes in the sample of each subplot was counted and an average density was estimated for each habitat in each season. Then mass assemblies were made to identify the specimens at the family level and according to eating habits. From the mass assemblies, the maturity index and the Shannon-Weaver biological diversity index were calculated.
