LA CRISIS DE LA INDUSTRIA DEL TÉ, EN EL CENTRO POBLADO AMAYBAMBA DEL DISTRITO HUAYOPATA, PROVINCIA LA CONVENCIÓN, REGIÓN CUSCO, PERÚ, DURANTE EL PERÍODO 2000 – 2022

Abstract

En esta investigación se estudió la crisis acaecida por el fracaso de la industria tealera y su impacto en la cadena productiva del té, en sus actores y en el entorno. Específicamente, en el centro poblado Amaybamba, del distrito Huayopata, provincia La Convención, región Cusco. Aquí se concentra una cantidad significativa de tealeros y una fábrica de té, activa. La finalidad, fue dar respuestas a las siguientes preguntas; ¿Cómo se ha visto afectada la cadena productiva y el ecosistema donde esta actividad se desarrolla? ¿Qué situación económica vive la comunidad y las personas que hacen vida en esta? ¿Cuál es la situación social de la comunidad y de sus organizaciones?. Los resultados, dieron a conocer que la cadena productiva del té, aún después de dos décadas, no se ha recuperado tras la crisis, por el contrario, la producción de la hoja actualmente es significativamente menor a años anteriores. Como consecuencia, existen teales en abandono, suspensión de las practicas agronómicas, sustitución de cultivos y otros usos de las plantaciones de té.

In this research, the crisis was studied caused by the failure of the tea industry and its impact on the tea production chain, its actors and the environment. Specifically, in the Amaybamba populated center, in the Huayopata district, La Convención province, Cusco region. A significant number of tea growers and an active tea factory are concentrated here. The purpose was to provide answers to the following questions; How has the production chain and the ecosystem where this activity takes place been affected? What is the economic situation of the community and the people who live in it? What is the social situation of the community and its organizations? The results revealed that the tea production chain, even after two decades, has not recovered after the crisis, on the contrary, the production of the leaf is currently significantly lower than in previous years. As a consequence, there are abandoned tea trees, suspension of agronomic practices, substitution of crops and other uses of tea plantations.
