Abstract

Con mucha frecuencia nos encontramos en nuestra práctica profesional, conque algunos grandes personajes de la Antigüedad son tratados con una displicencia realmente escalofriante. Sin querer prestar mucha atención a las posibles implicaciones sexistas de un tema como el que nos inspira, es recurrente la forma en que la presencia de las mujeres en la historia de la antigüedad es abordada: con indiferencia, pero sobre todo con mucho temor. Incluso por algunas de ellas mismas que han probado ser realmente talentosas como historiadoras.Very often in our professional practice, we find that some of the great figures of antiquity are treated with a truly chilling contempt. Without wanting to pay much attention to the possible sexist implications of a subject such as the one that inspires us, it is recurrent the way in which the presence of women in the history of antiquity is approached: with indifference, but above all with much fear. Even by some of them themselves who have proven to be really talented historians.
