Diversidad y abundancia de anfibios en dos fincas bananeras bajo diferente manejo agrícola, en la vertiente del Caribe, Costa Rica

Resumen
El presente trabajó se realizó durante el periodo comprendido entre mayo 2001 y enero 2002 en dos fincas bananeras, una bajo manejo agrícola orgánico (finca "Los Rojas") y la otra con aplicación de plaguicidas (finca "Proyecto I"), ambas fincas se ubican en la Vertiente del Caribe de Costa Rica. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la diversidad y abundancia de anfibios de estas dos fincas bananeras para comparar el efecto de las prácticas agrícolas sobre los anfibios asociados a este monocultivo. Para la búsqueda de los anfibios se establecieron por finca 28 transectos de 100m de longitud y dos transectos fueron muestreados por noche, durante dos días consecutivos cada mes. Los transectos fueron trazados siguiendo la línea de siembra de forma perpendicular al cable vía. A cada individuo capturado se le identificó, se anotó la altura desde el suelo a la que se halló y la distancia en el transecto del lugar de captura y se midieron también la temperatura y la humedad.
The present work was carried out during the period between May 2001 and January 2002 in two banana farms, one under organic agricultural management ("Los Rojas" farm) and the other with pesticide application ("Proyecto I" farm). located on the Caribbean slope of Costa Rica.
