Estudio de pre factibilidad para la utilización de raquis de palma africana (Elaeis guineensis) para la fabricación de vajillas biodegradables

Abstract

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo general realizar un estudio de pre factibilidad para la utilización de raquis de palma africana (Elaeis guineensis) para la fabricación de vajillas biodegradables, utilizar un desecho y convertirlo en un producto para COOPEAGROPAL RL, como lo es el raquis de la palma africana. El proyecto pretende llevarse a cabo en Naranjo de Laurel, Región Brunca. Las investigadoras Magaly Ramírez, Joselyn Tenorio y Mariana Ceba son estudiantes de la licenciatura en Administración con Énfasis en Gestión Financiera. Se realizaron los estudios pertinentes para conocer la aceptación por parte de los consumidores en la Región Brunca, los estudios realizados fueron el estudio de mercado, técnico, legal, ambiental y por último el estudio financiero. Las variables en estudio están divididas por objetivos. Cada uno de estos objetivos fue medido por instrumentos como el cuestionario a tres sectores, clientes, supermercados y distribuidores, también se aplicó el instrumento de la observación para determinar las marcas y tipos de materiales que se comercializan en la región. Para el objetivo que analiza el mercado las variables en estudio fueron oferta, demanda y precio. En la variable oferta se enfatizó en recolectar información acerca de las marcas, materiales e identificar que ofrece el mercado al consumidor, en la variable demanda su enfoque fue en el tema de los gustos y preferencias de los clientes, supermercados y los distribuidores, el tamaño, color y textura. Además, se determinó por medio del cuestionario a los administradores los meses de mayor demanda de este tipo de productos. En la variable precio se investigó tanto el precio de compra distribuidor y el precio al cliente, esto se respalda con el método de observación realizado a los supermercados en donde se encontró variabilidad de precios y como dato relevante entre un 20% a un 25% es la ganancia de los intermediarios. En cuanto al mercado meta del proyecto de la planta procesadora de raquis se tomaron como referencia a los clientes de supermercados y a los distribuidores de productos de la Región Brunca. Esta zona posee gran cantidad distribuidores de supermercados en los que se puede vender el producto con facilidad. Con el fin de conocer la perspectiva de los consumidores de la Región Brunca se aplicaron cuestionarios a 383 personas de diferentes cantones, el resultado que se obtuvo fue satisfactorio, debido a que la mayor parte de los entrevistados se encuentra de acuerdo en adquirir y consumir platos biodegradables a base de fibras de palma africana.

The general objective of this study is to carry out a pre-feasibility study for the use of African palm (Elaeis guineensis) rachis for the manufacture of biodegradable tableware, using a waste product and converting it into a product for COOPEAGROPAL RL, such as African palm rachis. The project aims to be carried out in Naranjo de Laurel, Brunca Region. The researchers Magaly Ramírez, Joselyn Tenorio and Mariana Ceba are students of the degree in Administration with emphasis in Financial Management. The relevant studies were carried out to find out the acceptance of the consumers in the Brunca Region, the studies carried out were market, technical, legal, environmental and finally the financial study. The variables under study are divided by objectives. Each of these objectives was measured by instruments such as the questionnaire to three sectors, clients, supermarkets and distributors, also the instrument of observation was applied to determine the brands and types of materials that are marketed in the region. For the objective analysing the market, the variables under study were supply, demand and price. In the supply variable, emphasis was placed on collecting information about the brands, materials and identifying what the market offers to the consumer; in the demand variable, the focus was on the tastes and preferences of customers, supermarkets and distributors, size, colour and texture. In addition, the months with the highest demand for this type of product were determined by means of a questionnaire to the administrators. In the price variable, both the distributor purchase price and the customer price were investigated, this is supported by the observation method carried out in the supermarkets where price variability was found and as relevant data between 20% to 25% is the profit of the intermediaries. As for the target market of the rachis processing plant project, supermarket customers and product distributors in the Brunca region were taken as a reference. This area has a large number of supermarket distributors where the product can be easily sold. In order to know the perspective of consumers in the Brunca Region, questionnaires were applied to 383 people from different cantons. The results obtained were satisfactory, since most of those interviewed agreed to purchase and consume biodegradable dishes made from African palm fibres.
