Resumen
En la siguiente ponencia, se presenta la experiencia desarrollada mediante la ejecución de
cursos de Matemática, donde se utiliza modelos de admisión contextualizada y metodologías que
permitan la adquisición de competencias personales y académicas en miras al éxito académico. Esta
experiencia se ha venido desarrollando de manera consecutiva desde el año 2009, en la cual se
conjuntan las estrategias y recursos del Programa Éxito Académico (PEA) y la Escuela de Matemática
de la Universidad Nacional (UNA).
Se recalca la importancia de brindar estrategias de apoyo y acompañamiento institucional que
contribuya con la población universitaria en su desempeño, permanencia y egreso exitoso. Cabe
destacar que mediante esta experiencia se atienden estudiantes que presentan deficiencias en
contenidos básicos de matemática, actitudes adversas y niveles de motivación inadecuados con que
asumen los cursos, así también los que presentan altos índices de repitencia, y otras condiciones
académicas y personales consideradas como desfavorables y que requieren de un acompañamiento
efectivo para la atención integral de las necesidades diagnosticadas.
Los resultados de esta experiencia muestran la importancia de la vinculación de acciones
integradas desde diferentes áreas del conocimiento como Matemática, Orientación, Psicopedagogía y
estudiantes avanzados de la carrera de la Enseñanza de la Matemática, que posibilitan el
empoderamiento de la población estudiantil que se atiende en estos cursos.
In this paper it’s presented the experience gained by running courses in mathematics, models and methodologies that allow the acquisition of personal and academic skills in order to academic success is used. This experience has been developing consecutively since 2009, in which together the strategies and resources from Academic Success Program (ASP) and the School of Mathematics at the National University (UNA). By providing from institutional strategies in order to help the university population in performance, permanence and successful exit is emphasized. Students who have deficiencies in basic mathematics contents, adverse attitudes and inadequate motivation levels that take the courses and those with high repetition rates of math course, and other academic and personal regarded as unfavorable conditions are met and require an effective support for comprehensive care of diagnosed needs. The results of this experience show the importance of linking integrated from different knowledge areas such as Mathematics, Guidance, Psychology and advanced students of Teachers of Mathematics, which enable the empowerment of the student population served shares these courses.
