Presencia de Bryconamericus scleroparius, Poeciliopsis turrubarensis y Cichlasoma nicaraguense en el Embalse Arenal, Costa Rica

Resumen
El Embalse Arenal se encuentra localizado en la Provincia de Guanacaste, Costa Rica (840 54' 8''N) a 546 m.s.n.m., con un área aproximada de 87.8 km2 y una profundidad promedio de 20.88 m (Centro Científico Tropical 1981; Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad 1981). Durante un estudio limnológico del Embalse Arenal (Proyecto 831045) 1984-1985, se colectaron27 B. scleroparius, 21 P. turrubarensis y 203 C.nicaragüense, en diferentes zonas del Embalse (Fig. 1). Se utilizó una red de arrastre de 15 m de largo, por 1.5 m de alto y una abertura de entrenudos de 0.5 cm.
