Resumen
La innovación es un factor que al combinarse con otros elementos genera mejoras sustanciales en las economías de los sectores productivos. Esta tesis tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar el sistema sectorial de innovación del sector cafetalero de Honduras, usando como caso de estudio el municipio de Corquín en el departamento de Copán. Para lograr el objetivo se aplicó una encuesta a 214 productores de café y se aplicaron entrevistas a 2 intermediarios, 2 asociaciones y 2 cooperativas de Corquín Copán. Se determinó que en el sistema sectorial de innovación existe un alto grado de participación de entidades externas en el desarrollo de innovaciones, que la transferencia de conocimiento que genera innovaciones funciona a través del método de aprender haciendo y aprender observando pero que aún existen muchos espacios de mejora que pueden ser aprovechados para mejorar los niveles de vida de las familias productoras de café en Honduras.

The objective of this thesis is to identify and analyze the sectoral innovation system of the coffee sector in Honduras, using the municipality of Corquín in the department of Copán as a case study.
