Abstract. The following work wants to publicize the perception of the use and impact of social networks in students of the School of Computer Science of the National University in regards of COVID-19. For this, an exploratory study was carried out and the results were analyzed with PCA (Principal Component Analysis) as a tool to reduce the information obtained into the fundamental features that describe responses variation. Also, with clustering segmentation it was possible to describe which student segments can be differentiated. The results show, in addition to the main characteristics exhibited by the sample, a polarization in the use of social networks with respect to the effects of pandemic on student behaviors.
