Costa Rica, Sede Regional Chorotega, Campus Liberia.
T his article aims to know the perceptions of students in the use of videocon ferencing during virtual classes at the university level in times of COVID-19. T he study was conducted at the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), Chorotega Region Campus, Liberia. The methodological process was based on mixed research. The sample consisted of 149 first-year students from 7 careers offered during the I Cycle of 2021. The survey is used as an information collec tion technique. Among the main results obtained is that the preferred platform for videoconferences is Zoom, as well as despite social distancing, this medium has strengthened their learning, but during the process they experience boredom and fatigue. Likewise, it highlights experiences that cause nervousness, lack of motiva tion and feeling belittled, although they show satisfaction and tranquility in other parameters. Finally, there is a common denominator of keeping the camera turned off due to limitations caused by connectivity.
