“Estudio de viabilidad económico financiero para la producción y comercialización de mermelada y jugo a base de Pitahaya roja (HYLOCEREUS COSTARICENSIS) en Liberia, Guanacaste”

Abstract

En la presente investigación se realizó un estudio de viabilidad económica financiera para la producción y comercialización de mermelada y jugo a base de pitahaya (Hylocereus costaricensis) en Liberia, Guanacaste, específicamente en minisúper y supermercados de dicha zona. Teniendo como objetivos específicos la realización de los estudios de mercado, organizacional, legal, ambiental, técnico y financiero. Para la recolección de la información se realizó un censo, aplicando un cuestionario a 52 establecimientos. En cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, se determina que existe una demanda potencial, sin embargo, no es lo suficientemente alta para cubrir la estructura de costos y gastos planteada. Asimismo, se logra determinar los requerimientos de inversión y se define un modelo organizacional viable para la microempresa Pitta Castilla. Referente a la parte legal y ambiental, se identificó que no existe norma o reglamento que impida la ejecución de este proyecto. Por último, según los indicadores financieros obtenidos, se concluye, que bajo los escenarios planteados no resulta viable la investigación, por lo tanto se rechaza el proyecto.

Abstract In this research, study was carried out on the financial economic viability of producing and commercializing jam and juice made from pitahaya (Hylocereus costaricensis) in Liberia, Guanacaste, specifically in minimarkets and supermarkets in that area. The specific objective was the realization of market, organizational, legal, environmental, technical, and financial studies. Regarding data collection, a census was conducted by applying a questionnaire to 52 businesses. Regarding results, it was identified that there is potential demand; however, it is not high enough to cover the estimated costs and expense’s structure. Likewise, the investment requirements were defined and a viable organizational model created for the Pitta Castilla microenterprise. Regarding the legal and environmental parts, it was identified that there is no law or regulation that prevents the execution of this project. Finally, according to the financial indicators obtained, it is concluded that under the proposed scenarios the investigation is not viable, and therefore the project is rejected.
