Abstract. This project explains what is and how to implement Design Sprint in a software development organisation through a roadmap, this methodology is used for the validation of ideas, given that the information found on how to implement it in depth was limited, it was decided to generate a guide with an implementation plan and a proposed roadmap with steps to follow, demonstrating its viability for staff and companies with interest in Design Sprint. Through the literature review, 6 articles of interest for the research were found, among which the 5 phases of Design Sprint are explained (understand, sketching, deciding, prototyping and validating), characteristics, benefits, stages of the project in which Design Sprint can be used, reasons to use it and scenarios where its use is not optimal, use and importance of certain soft skills in the different phases, activities prior to the start of a Design Sprint, necessary roles, comparison of differences with ‘Design Thinking’ and ‘Agile’. A solution proposal is developed that considers aspects such as raising awareness of Design Sprint, explaining what it is, why it is important, carrying out the analysis and evaluation of the organisation's maturity level, what are the required capabilities, the necessary resources, identifying barriers or areas for improvement, how to implement Design Sprint, considering risks, mitigation strategies and metrics or KPIs that facilitate the measurement of its implementation, and finally, the processes for its implementation. This project generated a series of conclusions and recommendations to be considered on the use and implementation of Design Sprint consider on the use and implementation of Design Sprint, which provide value to staff from different areas such as project managers or team managers, staff with ideas or initiatives they want to implement in their projects, researchers interested in learning more about Design Sprint and professionals working with this methodology.
