Resumen
Las tablas de despiece son herramientas de gran utilidad para cuantificar el volumen de una plantación forestal, facilitando los procesos productivos y comerciales. Construir una tabla de despiece con el volumen por hectárea para diferentes productos en cada índice de sitio de la plantación. La plantación se ubica en Los Chiles, Alajuela, donde se establecieron parcelas temporales para determinar la distribución diamétrica por índice de sitio (IS). Se seleccionaron 509 árboles en cinco índices de sitio. A cada árbol, en el piso, se le midió el diámetro en secciones (trozas) de 1.5 m, partiendo desde la base hasta el extremo más delgado, luego se calculó el volumen con la fórmula de Smalian. Las trozas se clasificaron según su diámetro en cinco categorías: Aserrío grueso, aserrío delgado, tarima, leña y desperdicio. Con volumen por sección y la densidad de árboles por hectárea, según las parcelas temporales, se estimó el volumen por hectárea para cada producto en cada índice de sitio. El volumen se clasificó en aserrío grueso (AG) y delgado (AD), tarimas, leña y desperdicio. Se obtuvo un volumen comercial (AG, AD) de 39.41; 82.65; 104.82; 126.39 y 125.22 m 3 *árb-1 para el IS 18, 21, 24, 27 y 30, respectivamente. Los resultados muestran que la plantación presenta un volumen que con un manejo adecuado se pueden obtener una producción que genere un proyecto rentable.
Quartering tables are very useful tools to quantify the volume of a forest plantation, facilitating production and commercial processes. To build a cutting table with the volume per hectare for different products in each site index of the plantation. The logs were classified according to their diameter in five categories: thick sawlogs, thin sawlogs, pallets, firewood and waste. With volume per section and tree density per hectare, according to the temporary plots, the volume per hectare was estimated for each product at each site index. The volume was classified into thick (AG) and thin (AD) sawlogs, pallets, firewood and waste. A commercial volume (AG, AD) of 39.41; 82.65; 104.82; 126.39 and 125.22 m 3 *arb-1 was obtained for IS 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30, respectively. The results show that the plantation presents a volume that with proper management can obtain a production that generates a profitable project.
