Propuesta de planificación en educación ambiental para la Reserva Forestal Grecia

Resumen
Las áreas silvestres protegidas, con base en los enfoques de conservación, se establecieron en un contexto donde las comunidades tuvieron poca participación. Tal situación propicia un compromiso débil por parte de los habitantes hacia la conservación de los recursos naturales, lo cual trae consigo problemáticas ambientales. En el caso de la Reserva Forestal Grecia (RFG), creada en 1973, existe dentro de ella desarrollo de actividades agropecuarias y de infraestructura no planificadas, así como captación de fuentes de agua de manera irregular y existe desconocimiento por parte de las personas involucradas con la reserva en cuanto a la importancia que las comunidades le otorgan al área.
Por ende, se plantea analizar la perspectiva hacia la conservación de los recursos naturales que tienen las comunidades Calle Rodríguez, Camejo, San Francisco, San Juan Norte, San Luis y San Miguel Arriba, que se encuentran dentro y alrededor, de la Reserva Forestal Grecia, de manera que se facilite la elaboración de una propuesta que fortalezca la educación ambiental. Esto a partir de la aplicación de diferentes técnicas y herramientas como el cuestionario, la revisión de información documental, grupo focal, entrevistas semiestructuradas, diagnóstico y talleres.
Como resultado de dicho estudio, algunos actores manifiestan no sentirse satisfechos de su mismo actuar al no involucrarse con la reserva, lo que se traduce en una oportunidad de trabajo entre el área silvestre y la comunidad a través de la propuesta de educación ambiental. También, destaca la iniciativa que tienen varias instituciones para promover un desarrollo socioeconómico en la zona de amortiguamiento de la reserva, mientras las ASADAS rescatan la importancia que el recurso hídrico brinda al cantón de Grecia y Poás.
La propuesta que se plantea fomenta acciones educativas con los actores quienes, a su vez, generen un apego con la reserva e incentiven la conservación de los recursos naturales. Esto a través de un proceso de sensibilización en gran parte de la población y aprovechando las alianzas estratégicas que son clave para la ejecución del plan, pues representan el apoyo más grande para lograr las metas.
Protected wilderness areas, based on conservation approaches, were established in a context where communities had little participation. Such a situation favors a weak commitment on the part of the inhabitants towards the conservation of natural resources, which brings with it environmental problems. In the case of the Grecia Forest Reserve (RFG), created in 1973, there is development of unplanned agricultural and infrastructure activities within it, as well as irregular collection of water sources, and there is ignorance on the part of the people involved with the reserve in terms of the importance that the communities give to the area. Therefore, it is proposed to analyze the perspective towards the conservation of natural resources that the Calle Rodríguez, Camejo, San Francisco, San Juan Norte, San Luis and San Miguel Arriba communities have, which are located within and around the Grecia Forest Reserve. , so as to facilitate the development of a proposal that strengthens environmental education. As a result of said study, some actors state that they are not satisfied with their own actions by not getting involved with the reserve, which translates into a work opportunity between the wild area and the community through the environmental education proposal. Also, it highlights the initiative that several institutions have to promote socioeconomic development in the buffer zone of the reserve, while the ASADAS rescue the importance that water resources provide to the canton of Grecia and Poás. The proposed proposal encourages educational actions with the actors who, in turn, generate an attachment to the reserve and encourage the conservation of natural resources. This through a process of raising awareness in a large part of the population and taking advantage of the strategic alliances that are key to the execution of the plan, since they represent the greatest support to achieve the goals.
